The Veronicas-Heavily broken with lyrics.

And now I've had enough of all the hating

Do we even care, it's so unfair

I'm heavily broken And I don't know what to do

Can't you see that I'm choking

And I can't even move

When there's nothing left to say

What can you do

I'm heavily broken And there's nothing I can do

Almost giving up on trying

Almost heading for a fall

And now my mind is screaming out

I've gotta keep on fighting

But then again It doesn't end

I chose this song and these lyrics because I think that this song expresses the hurt and damage that Melinda is going through. Melinda is hated by almost everyone at school and I"m sure that she is almost to the point where she can't take it anymore. The song says can't you see that I'm choking and I can't even move. I think that this relates to Melinda in two ways. When "It" or Andy comes around she can't move and she can't even speak. I think that the part about choking is a huge connection to Melinda because I think that she wants to tell someone what happened but she can't, she chokes on how to say it and who to say it to. Melinda is infact screaming only she is screaming in her head because she won't let anyone in or let anyone know what's going on. Lastly I think this song relates to the novel because it say's gotta keep on fighting but then again it never ends. Melinda doesn't want to be the ways she is she wants to be normal. Everytime Melinda does or tries something to better her life or better her situation something bad happens that reverses all her efforts to make things better.
