I also chose this song because he is talking about moving on because the people he's surrounded by don't allow him to change, And that there's a time in everyone's life when all you see are the years passing by, and that those days are gone because he let everyone tell him what to do and pushed him around like he was nothing and he finally decided to move on.

i agree with what you said. she needs to move on from the past because her life will fly by and she will miss out on a lot then regret it in the future. Wounds will heal with time but it dosnt take forever.
