I picked this song because i think its kind of how Melinda feels. She was inocent before she got raped, she didn't know what he was doing so she was abused. She didn't know that he was going to hurt her. He just did what he had to do, and left her there. I think Melinda and the little girl could relate, after this happened, because i'm pretty sure they both felt pain. Once again they can relate, because as months passed they both kind off kept a trauma and they had changes in their behavior. Like the little girl wouldn't laugh or play with her dolls, and Melinda was now alone and didn't really care weather she was social or not, and on top of that, she's really quiet and doesn't talk much.
