They treat her really bad. They dont like the fact that she called the cops to that party so they call her out of her name and disrespect her to the fullest. When they were in the bleachers and someone told her about what she did, everyone turned and looked at her as if she were in the wrong.
At school they treat her really bad, there are girls that used to be Melinda's friends and now they're ignoring her and talking stuff about her and to her. They pulled her hair in the pep rally, and kneed her. This girl told her that thanks of her calling the cops her brother got arrested and lost his job.

The other kids at Melinda's school treat her really badly. They threw food at her the first day, and during the assembly everyone was ganging up on her, kicking her, and pulling her hair because she called the cops on a party that was going on that summer.

The students don't realize the reason that Melinda called the cops so they can't empathyze with her. Therefore, they exclude and bully Melinda. They purposely leave her out, Melinda is excluded from all the different groups and no one cares to take her in. The students also harass melinda. In the pep assembly when students find out she is the one who called the cops one girl knees her in the back. Melinda is treated with no respect at her school.
